Fighter - Wijon Van Garrick

Well, this is a revisioning of one of my very first Dungeons & Dragons characters, Sir Wijon Van Garrick http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/l/e/lee/wijon1.jpg.html

I loved the character and how I worked him up from the beginning, but I came to realize later on just how cheesy of a character he was... So I redid him. I stripped him of all the goofy magic and silly items. I took him back to his roots... Sort of an 'Ultimate' version of the character, a bit more realistic while still being fantasy.

I've had a sketch of this outfit for a good long while but never really did anything with it. Until now... I'm very happy with how this picture came out for the most part.

He's looking a little old for my tastes but oh well... he's younger than most I draw.

p.s. LotR geeks will (maybe) recognize his sword as being the sword which belonged to Isildur in the prologue of FOTR... I love the design and had to include it...
